A Bus Full Of Passengers Was Attacked With Fireworks During An LA Street Takeover

Street takeovers are still plaguing the Los Angeles area, despite officials asking for public assistance in stopping them and enacting laws meant to scare people out of participating in them. The takeovers seem to be getting worse, becoming less about a car drifting sideshow and more about property destruction. As KTLA reports, an LA Metro bus was targeted with fireworks and tagged with graffiti during the latest street takeover.

The incident happened around 3 am in downtown LA, where around 50 cars took over an intersection, according to the authorities. The LAPD received multiple calls about the takeover yet didn’t arrive in time, and there were no reported arrests. During the takeover, a Metro bus that was in the intersection and had passengers on it was targeted, as KTLA described.

The bus operator told stringer news service OnScene.TV that some people gathered for the street takeover shot fireworks at the bus, which was left covered in graffiti.

Video showed graffiti was also sprayed on a nearby building.

The idiots didn’t stop at the bus or the building. According to KTLA, OnScene.TV reported a mob then tried breaking into a local Starbucks before LAPD officers and air support caused them to disperse.

This was the second takeover in the area in less than a week. Just over a mile from where the bus was vandalized, another takeover happened on June 29th that involved two vehicles being burned in an intersection. Luckily there were no injuries, but annoyingly there weren’t any arrests, either.
