VANCOUVER, BC, JULY 17, 2024/insPRESS/ – 30 Forensic Engineering, Canada’s leading multidisciplinary forensics firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mostafa Gorjian Ph.D., as Associate, within the Geotechnical Engineering group.

Dr. Mostafa Gorjian joins 30 Forensic Engineering as an Associate within our Geotechnical Engineering & Mining group while maintaining his role as a faculty affiliate at the University of British Columbia (UBC). With over a decade of specialized experience as a Geotechnical Engineer and Rock Mechanics Consultant, he brings invaluable expertise to our team. His portfolio encompasses a wide range of infrastructure projects including piles, embankments, tunnels, foundation, utilities, instrumentation and monitoring, spanning across sectors such as mining, environmental, and oil and gas. Armed with a Ph.D. in Geological Engineering, Dr. Gorjian is renowned for his proficiency in rock mass characterization, in-situ stress measurement, seismic hazard analysis, and hydro-mechanical slope design. His expertise is recognized globally through numerous publications, including several papers in Nature Journal, along with contributions to acclaimed international journals and conferences where he has also served as a distinguished guest editor. Dr. Gorjian’s recent contributions have been instrumental in key projects throughout British Columbia, including the Kamloops flood control and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). He has introduced innovative methodologies that have not only saved considerable time and costs for our clients but have also been pivotal in the successful execution of large-scale constructions like the Vancouver Broadway Subway Project. Dr. Gorjian enthusiastically invites collaboration and discussions on potential projects as he actively expands our presence in Vancouver.
