2025 Mercedes-Maybach SL-Class

2025 Mercedes-Maybach SL-Class

Overview

Mercedes is in the midst of reshaping its portfolio, and part of that shake-up will likely include the introduction of Maybach SL-class models. While the standard AMG SL-class convertible is a high-performance, open-air rocket with plenty upscale equipment, a Maybach variant would represent the upper echelons of top-shelf luxury. As such, you can expect an exquisitely tailored cabin fitted with fine leather upholstery, extra-cushy seats, and a host of high-tech infotainment features. Soft-close doors, a plush air suspension system, and many of the luxuries available on other Maybach models could be available as well. We don’t yet know if it will be powered by a version of the standard SL’s twin-turbo V-8 or if it’ll utilize hybrid technology of some kind. If the Maybach SL-class goes into production as expected, it’s certain to be a car that’s capable of attracting its share A-list celebrities, superstar athletes, and other ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

What’s New for 2025?

A Mercedes-Maybach SL-class will be the first of its kind, combining Maybach-level poshness with the SL’s white-hot performance chops. It should be strutting its overabundant luxury starting in 2025.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

SL580

$175,000 (est)

SL680

$225,000 (est)

Should the SL-class get the Maybach treatment, we expect the trim level structure to be similar to the Maybach S580 and S680 hierarchy. The prices shown are our own estimates, but don’t be surprised to see Maybach SL-class MSRPs to be loftier than AMG SL-class pricing.
