Chevrolet revealed the 2025 Corvette ZR1 in July, and while we knew it would be fast, we didn’t have exact figures until today. It turns out that not only is it quick, but it’s also fast, with GM recently announcing a top speed of 233 mph.

Any car that can break the 200-mph mark is, of course, ridiculously fast, but to help put that into perspective, 233 mph is also significantly faster than the top speed of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Mclaren 720S and Aventador S. We’ll still have to see if the Corvette drives and handles as well as its more exotic counterparts, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it does. General Motors may whiff on mainstream cars sometimes, but GM’s performance division usually knocks it out of the park. Just look at what it did with the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.

Now, that doesn’t mean the Corvette ZR1 will be cheap. You don’t get more than 1,000 hp out of a mid-engine hypercar without spending the big bucks. Unfortunately for us, Chevrolet hasn’t talked pricing yet. Without dealer markup, though, the Corvette Z06 already costs more than $100,000, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the ZR1 come in closer to $200,00 than $150,000. And that’s not even accounting for dealer markups, which you can only assume will be beyond ridiculous.

At the same time, though, even if you end up paying $250,000 for a Corvette ZR1, that’s probably still half or less than the cost of an SF90 Stradale. Also, you probably don’t have to have spent anywhere near as much on Corvettes to get a ZR1 compared to how much you probably have to have spent on lesser Ferraris to even be considered as a potential SF90 owner.
