2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ

2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ

Overview

The Cadillac Escalade is a pop culture icon. Soon, the huge luxury SUV will scoop on another helping of enormity with an all-electric powertrain. Cadillac’s next EV will arrive sometime in 2024 and follows the Lyriq compact crossover and upcoming Celestiq wagon-esque ultra-luxury car. The Caddy of SUVs is loosening up its corporate cufflinks to go green and will serve as an antonym to the current gas-only Escalade V that is powered by a supercharged 682-hp V-8 with an EPA-rated 11 mpg in the city. The Escalade IQ will likely share the power and range of the GMC Hummer SUV, which is good for up to 830 horsepower and can travel an estimated 280 miles on a single charge. The Escalade IQ will be revealed later in 2023, so details on pricing, power, and range are purely speculative for now, but when it comes to building the largest beast in the EV market we’re sure Cadillac will do it like it always has, where bigger is better.

What’s New for 2025?

Since the Escalade debuted in 1998 it’s represented wealth, power, and luxury. Soon, for the first time ever, it will play to buyers’ environmental sensibilities with an all-electric powertrain. The electric-only Escalade IQ will be revealed later in 2023.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

Escalade IQ

$99,000 (est)

Escalade IQ First Edition

$130,000 (est)

Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but using the current gas-powered Escalade as a reference, which starts at roughly $83,000, we’d expect the additional technology and cost of going all-electric will create an Escalade with tons of standard options that push its starting price to nearly three figures. Expect big wheels, tons of cargo space, and a mountain of leather.
