2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Gets Retuned Dampers And Carbon Ceramic Brakes In A New Handling Package

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, a rear-wheel drive, supercharged V8 powered monster of a performance sedan, just got a even better for 2025 with a new performance package the brand says will enhance the sedan’s already stellar handling.

Called the Precision Package, it will allow customers to fit the CT5-V Blackwing with higher rate springs, revised suspension bushings, a larger front stabilizer bar, new steering knuckles and rear suspension toe links that give the Blackwing a more aggressive wheel alignment for track duty. Other package enhancements include recalibration for the Magnaride dampers, steering, electronic limited slip differential and a new set of carbon ceramic brakes.
All this combines to give the CT5-V Blackwing better steering precision in the corners, Cadillac executive chief engineer Brandon Vivian said in a press release:
“We built this vehicle to set records on some of toughest tracks around the world and reward the most discerning driving enthusiast. This new Precision Package will enable the CT5-V Blackwing to be incredibly light on its feet at all speeds — both on road and track.”
There’s no word on pricing just yet, but Cadillac says that and availability will be announced closer to when the CT5-V Blackwing and the Precision Package start production in early 2025. Customers who forgo the Precision Package will see small tweaks as well, such as three new colors and a larger 33-inch infotainment screen. The Blackwing is the member of a vanishing breed, with only 24 V8 vehicles on the road today, according to Road & Track.
