Which plan to choose? (No prior experience with high deductible plans)

I’ve been very fortunate and have always had really amazing insurance (no deductible, very low copays, very low or no monthly premium). I’m changing jobs this summer and everything about the new job is going to be so much better and I will be so much happier — except for the health insurance.

Which one would you choose? It’s just me and my spouse, both early 40s. Both weigh slightly more than ideal but otherwise healthy. I take daily blood pressure medication (super basic drug). My spouse does seem to need some kind of random surgery every few years (torn meniscus, torn bicep tendon, etc). We both are fairly high risk for skin cancer (melanoma runs in his family; I’ve already had a few pre-cancerous spots removed).

Spouse is self-employed.

$355/month premium for employee and spouse, $3000 single/$5100 family deductible, $2400 total credits into HSA, no cost/no deductible for preventative care (well woman, well adult, etc), 15% copay for office visits, in/outpatient, lab work etc after deductible is met, $4800 single/$8000 family OOP max

$266/month premium for employee and spouse, $1600single/$3200 family deductible, $1000 in “wellness credits” into a “health reimbursement arrangement” whatever that is (it says it’s not an HSA), no cost/no deductible for preventative care, 30% copay for office visits, in/outpatient, lab work etc after deductible is met, $5100single/$10200family OOP max

I’m leaning towards the first one but want to make sure I’m not missing anything, since I’ve never had a high deductible plan or an HSA. Honestly I’ve barely had to think about health insurance for my entire adult life and I’m now fully realizing how fortunate I was.
