WHICH HEALTH INSURANCE SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Hi Guys, I’m wondering if you guys can help me figure out what I should do in terms of the best plan for me.

I have always been on medicaid under my parents (im 23) and was told that both me and my mom make too much (which is ridiculous because now that we’d have this bill, we’d be screwed) so we don’t qualify for medicaid but we do qualify for healthconnector (a lower income premium health insurance) and Health Safety net partial. Here is the problem.. I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this stuff and would need someone to tell me what the best choice would be for me, clear-cut throat and why.

About me: Usually I don’t go to the doctors unless it’s for check ups, OBGYN appointments and have been looking to go to a neurologist. I also am looking into mental health counseling/therapy. RIGHT NOW though, I had a surgery and will need to go to the doctor for follow ups and PT twice a week for a year. This is making the decision a bit more difficult.

Here are my options for health insurance:

I am not totally sure what the health safety net is.. so if anyone knows, please help.

I stay under my mom until im 26 and I would pay her my portion, while she’d pay for herself and my younger sibling. My options are:

Deductible plan: TUFTS Standard High Bronze, Tufts Health Direct Bronze 2850. The deductible is individual: 2850 and family: 5700. The total every month is 464.88. Looks like I’d have a copay and some services have 20% coinsurance. (copays range from 20-750 depending on service)

Deductible plan: TUFTS Standard Silver, Tufts Health Direct Silver 2000 II. The deductible is individual: 2000.00 and Familiar: 4000.00. The total every month is 603.07. Looks like I’d have a copay and some services have 20% coinsurance (copays range from 20-750 depending on service)

I’d qualify for Health Safety Net Partial

MY MOM WILL NOT CONSIDER THE NO DEDUCTIBLE PLAN.

2. I could be off my moms health insurance and go on myself. I’d qualify for HealthConnector and Health Safety Net Partial. My options are:

No deductible plan: I can get Tufts Standard Gold (Tufts health direct) and pay 200-300 a month. No deductible but I do have an out of pocket max. Copays range from 20-750)

No deductible plan: Tufts Standard Platinum (Tufts health direct) and pay 300-350 a month. No deductible but I do have an out of pocket max. Copays range from 20-750, but are lower than Standard Gold.

High deductible plan: Tufts Standard Bronze (Tufts health direct), I believe this one will be similar to my moms and in price.

High deductible plan: Tufts Standard Silver (Tufts health direct), 1. I believe this one will be similar to my moms and in price.

I’d qualify for Health Safety Net Partial

3. I can take health insurance at my job which is: Individual employee will be covered at 100% of premiums (100/0 cost share) both health and dental.

Tufts Advantage HMO 2000. Deductibles are 2000 individual/4000 familiar. Some preventative services are covered before I meet deductible. Out of pocket max’s 6000 individual/12000 familiar. Copays apply unless preventative.

Tufts Advantage HMO Saver 3000. 1. Deductibles are 3000 individual/6000 familiar. Some preventative services are covered before I meet deductible. Out of pocket max’s 6450 individual/12900 familiar. Copays apply unless preventative.

Tufts advantage PPO Saver 3000 (I think this one qualifies for HSA). 1. Deductibles are 3000 individual/6000 familiar. Out of pocket max’s 6450 individual/12900 familiar. Some preventative services are covered before I meet deductible. Copays apply unless preventative.

I know this was a lot of info, but as much as I try to teach myself what everything means, I feel like i’ll pick the worst option. Thank you guys so much!
