When to report income change for Medi-Cal?

Hi all, I just recently started a seasonal full time job last week where I get paid every week. Calculated monthly, this puts me over the $1,677 monthly limit. I've seen in other posts where they say to report the change 10 days after the first paycheck, but since my first check will be less than the limit, do I wait until I've received the 4th check to report this change?

Also, I am hoping I get converted to a regular full-time employee which comes with health insurance and other medical benefits. Assuming I lose Medi-Cal coverage, what would the best course of action here be? I was looking on Covered California for a plan since I saw open enrollment is now active till the end of January 2024 and was thinking of enrolling in one of those plans, but then what would happen if I were to get health coverage through my employer before then? Would I just cancel the CoveredCA plan?

Thanks in advance!
