When to apply for health insurance if my last day of work is 5/31 and that is the last date of the plan? MA bases.

My company is closing effective 5/31. That is also the day my current health insurance plan ends.

I live in MA and I am very confused on my options – COBRA, mass health connector plan, or Masshealth?

I have not yet received communications from COBRA. Let’s say I have a medical emergency on June 1, will I just use COBRA as a worst case scenario? I’m frustrated that I haven’t received any info yet and the plan ends in 2 days.

will I qualify for masshealth? My yearly salary was 67k-70k (received a raise in May) but now that I’ll be on unemployment, I don’t know if I will qualify. Some guy on the mass health connector plan call I had told me I wouldn’t and needed to choose one of their plans …

can I join a mass health connector plan in the middle of the year? The man I just spoke to on the phone was acting like a sleezy salesman and told me since he ran my application that I needed to pick one or I wouldn’t qualify again until January. I was so taken aback and confused as I just wanted to hear some plan options before making a major life decision. It literally felt like I was on a scam call. He did not clearly explain any of this to me at all.

I appreciate any help and info! This sucks! Haha.
