What happens if I don’t pay my health insurance bill <$300

I went to the doctors office to get a std screening for HPV. The doctor came in the room and said that they don’t screen for that here. They said they couldn’t help me and sent me to a dermatologist. The dermatologist removed the growth and said it was very unlikely to be HPV and likely a mole for ~$150. At the original doctors office I was in the room for <20 minutes. I was billed for $300 of which my insurance covered $90 so they left $210 for me. I tried to dispute the claim with my insurance with no results. I also tried disputing with the doctors office with no success as they said they took my vitals and I had a doctors visit. I read that medical debt <$500 does not effect your credit history so I decided not to pay it. I have the money to pay it but I think it’s bull shit to charge someone $300 to check their heart rate and to tell them they don’t offer a service. I told them when I arrived there that I was there for a HPV screening. I’m pretty set on not paying them since they didn’t actually do anything. Am I running a risk by not paying them? I’m healthy and have only been to the doctors office for a physical over the last 15 years.
