What happens if a claim is "reversed" when you already met the deductible?

I am currently $50 short of maxing out my in network deductible.

Here is a potential complication I see; I have to refill a medication soon that costs $210, but since it will go over my deducrible, it will be 50 + (210-50)*0.2 (co-insurance) = $62. I don't know if this is a correct calculation, but based on my experience it should be close enough.

At the same time, there is a $198.18 claim that I haen't paid yet because I am trying to dispute it. Long story, there was a fuck up by my PCP doctors for my virtual consultation (the doctor didn't show up), but I was still charged for the "regular office visit". So I am planning to appeal the claim if he doesnt respond to my inquiry.

What happens if the appeal is successful? That will revert the original claim and my deductible will retroactively not have been met, is that correct? then will I be asked to pay for the full price of my $210 medication?
