So I need a prior authorization for a surgery on my ear – I have a cyst growing and if it gets to my brain I can potentially die if let alone.

My surgeon office summited paperwork and then I was denied due to Medical Necessity Denial – Supposedly surgeon office "appeal it" over the phone, it was approved and surgeons got a paper from Cigna saying it was approved.

Now Cigna is saying the paper is not valid and that they need to submit the appeal (again I guess)

Cigna Rep 1: Says they got the paperwork yesterday and its under review also that they did a peer to peer appeal. But have to wait for answer.

Cigna Rep 2: They never did the peer to peer and that they need to submit the required paperwork.

Surgeon Office: Still saying they submit everything.

Don't know who to believe and I'm tired of calling Cigna since Monday – everyone has a different answer. Getting to the point of just fuck it and let it play out. My surgery is on the 22 and its indeed a Medical Necessity.

What else could I do?
