UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Rescinds Approval.

I had 2 implants done and in need of two crowns to go on top of the implants. My prosthodontist submitted a prior authorization and was approved by UHC Community Plan/Medicaid. I was excited to hear the good news and wanted to confirm with UHC but they said that they made a mistake and will not honor the approval because the dentist is out of network. In the approval letter, it specifically states that the prosthodontist is out of network but the procedure is approved. UHC also states that since they did NOT approve the implants, therefore they will not approve for the crowns that go with the implants. However, my dentist says that he will give me a bill for the work and I can submit the bill to UHC to get some sort of reimbursement because he is PPO? I dont know the details of how this process works and do you think UHC will reimburse me for this claim? If UHC refuses to reimburse me, how do I appeal it? Thanks in advance for your input.
