United Healthcare Claims Bill Question

I’m a new adult with my first year of insurance. I went to a pcp I applied to from the app and then a dermatologist recommended by my pcp. Both are in network. I expected to pay a co-pay and that’s it but they said there’s no charge. Weeks later I get a letter in the mail about the charges and check the UHC app to see if racked up $900 in claims from the three 20-30 minute visits?

I’m so confused about how insurance works. I thought I could just pay the copay especially for doctor office visits. Is there any way to reduce the bill somehow or for future reference, know how much I’m expected to pay per visit?

This kind of threw me for a loop. I heard the healthcare system is shitty but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. It’s crazy that my pcp visit alone (which I was just consulted by a new assistant and never saw my actual pcp) which lasted 15 mins cost $350.

I’m really looking to see how I can get it resolved without having to pay the full $900 if possible.
