Unemployed w/ chronic cancer, copay exception?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to navigate the Texas marketplace as a single 38 yr old with some chronic conditions to find the most cost effective plan and it's just slightly overwhelming.

The main issue is, I take chemo called Sprycel 100mgs in the form of a daily pill. This condition also requires specialist visits quarterly w/ lab work, as well as regular visits to my PCP to handle HBP and other side effects. On top of that, I need the ability to go to urgent care or er on the chance there's a health scare (and ideally, not go completely broke doing so).

Sprycel is $15K per month and that's the largest issue with a lot of these plans except for AetnaCVS, who say it's covered. The formulary actually says it's copay exception.

Am I right in interpreting that as no cost? And at that point, just trying to choose the lowest cost impact Aetna plan?

Any other plan suggestions would be amazing as well, as my COBRA is $900.
