Undisclosed extra expense for contrast

I don’t know if this is the right place for this, but I recently got a CT scan done and beforehand i asked the receptionist how much in total I was going to be paying and she told me $800 after insurance. I even asked her if that was the total for everything that would be happening and she said yes. I just received a bill in the mail stating I owe almost $1,600 because they didn’t tell me contrast for the scan would be billed separately. I called the billing office and they told me I should have signed a paper stating that contrast is billed separately. They went quiet for a couple minutes I guess looking through my record and then told me there must have been a mistake because the office staff didn’t have me sign the document. They said it would be sent to their “reviews team”. What is the most likely outcome for this? I have paid thousands already for an upcoming procedure and don’t know if I can afford another couple grand for this. Edit: If the office decides to just write off the $600, will this still count towards my deductible?
