UHC Fertility benefits reimbursement account Egg freezing
Hi all. Since the company has the benefits for woman. I’m just trying to figure out how to use/maximized the company’s fertility Benefit Reimbursement Account (BRA)$20k. I want to freeze my eggs. Originally, the clinic RMA quoted $495(San Francisco) for the 1st consultation out of pocket. Since my insurance UHC is in the network, they billed my insurance total $860 including bloodwork. Now, I’m responsible for $168. I tried to reimburse myself through BRA, got denied. Because “This account does not cover one or more expense types (Coinsurance, Copay).” 1st: why the RMA charged more with my insurance other pay out-of -pocket? 2nd: my visit included consultation/ultrasound/bloodwork, why it’s not qualified for reimbursements? I’m very confused and the clinic is asking for 9k for the cycle. What should I do differently for the first consult the get the money back. I don’t want to pay $9k and unable to get reimburse again. HELP!!!
