Hi everyone, another 25 year old on the cusp of turning the dreaded 26 and aging out of my mother's insurance.

I live in Indiana and my income pre-tax is approx. $21,300 a year. HealthCare.gov says I am ineligible for Medicaid and is asking me to choose a marketplace option instead, but the cheapest premium is a little over $300 a month and the cheapest option that allows me to keep my PCP is around $400. I make about $1,500 a month, and about $750 goes towards rent and utilities each month. I can't imagine a world in which I have to turn over 20% of my monthly income just to be able to afford my generic medication, a yearly doctor's visit, and medicine/visits for the occasional sinus/ear infections I am prone to. I am in the cheapest living situation possible in my area, I get groceries as cheap as I can and stretch them as long as I can, and ride my bike to/from both my jobs. I feel at a loss, and so overwhelmed by all the terminology and choices.

So yeah. 26y/o in Indiana, $21,300 yearly gross income. Seeking any and all help/advice on how to move forward.
