Turned 30, need help navigating options in NYC

So I was over on the NYC subreddit and looking through health insurance posts and stumbled across someone posting about this subreddit so figured I'd give it a shot.

I just turned 30 recently and lost the ability to qualify for the catastrophic health insurance plans. Now the next cheapest one I'm able to get is for $700/month. I currently can't get health insurance through my job, I've been looking for other jobs that offer health insurance but no luck and I really need to see a doctor (not urgent care level but still need a couple things looked at). I make just too much to be able to qualify for any essential plans offered (next step above Medicaid/Medicare, forget which one is which) for low income people.

I reached out to NYC Health and Hospital, I thought they offered a type of sliding scale for payments, they women I talked to said it's not health insurance but basically you pay according to how much your income is. But then when I made the appointment, the hospital called me to ask about insurance and when I mentioned what the first NYC HH women said about sliding scale payment system, they basically told me they don't offer that program anymore

So I don't know what to do. I mean I'm living in NYC, there must be something for people like me? But idk who to ask, where to look, beyond what I've already tried. I just need to see a doctor, I need blood work done, skin issues looked at, etc. Would anyone here be able to point me in a direction for anything? I mean it's not like I can't pay out of pocket, as long as getting an appointment and some blood work and stuff done wouldn't be thousands of dollars.
