Trying to figure out where the disconnect is between provider, pharmacy, and Insurance

I (M26) recently changed insurances since my parents coverage expired when I turned 26.

I went to pick up a prescription today that is normally $8 or so. They said after insurance it was like $210 and so I figured that it must be an error that my new insurance was not updated in my pharmacy’s system. But they looked it up and it was the right insurance.

So I figured I’d look up the price on my benefits page. It said $8 for a 30 day supply. I decided to check my claims page and there was nothing there so I’m wondering why Walgreens is saying it is going through my insurance but the claim isn’t showing up on the website.

I’m wondering if it’s possibly an issue with my provider. They sent the script over and I don’t think my insurance is updated with them. Still I don’t see how that could be the issue since the pharmacy and the insurance is independent.

I have my masters degree in healthcare administration and I still have no idea lol.

My insurance provider is Blue Cross Federal, the Basic Plan.
