TMS is expensive for me!
I was looking to start TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) Therapy for my stress-induced Anhedonia/Sexual Dysfunction. The clinic was going to go ahead with the Prior Authorization request. However I just got a warning message from the clinic coordinator stating the following: "I noted that you have a 40% coinsurance cost, which would be about $100 per treatment, which with 36 treatments, would be about $3,600 total. I wanted to make sure that you were OK with that before I submit the Prior Authorization request. Please feel free to respond by texting here or calling me."
I live in Michigan. My Insurance is BCBS North Carolina PPO that I get through my job. I already met my Insurance Deductible which was $4,000.
I do have another Insurance plan called, Blue Care Network HMO, on my Dad's that he gets through his job. That Deductible is $3,000 total with $1,500 total for me, my mom, and dad. I have not met the Deductible for that plan. I'm not sure what the coinsurance is for that plan.
I wonder if it would be cheaper on my Dad's plan.
