They haven’t asked me to renew my state health insurance in over 3 years…

Ok so context is that when I found out I was pregnant in 2019, I met with someone from our state health insurance to see if I qualify for Oregon Health Plan. Since I was pregnant, I did qualify. So I signed up and was on it right away. I was able to also get my son on it right when he was born. The next year rolls around and my partner and I make preparations to get my son on my partners insurance (through his work) and I started looking for private health insurance because I knew when it was time to renew my Oregon Health Plan, I’d be making too much. Well I never received a letter and there was no notification in my account or emails that I needed to renew. So let it ride, and my insurance was still working perfectly.

Same thing happens the next year, and the next, and the next. Until this year, I got a letter saying I needed to send more info in to renew. So I didn’t bother because I knew I made just over the amount to be on it. I ended up getting private health insurance at $250/mo. because I knew come Feb 1st my state coverage would be terminated now that they were asking more info. But now it’s middle of March and my state insurance is still working fine!! I get my inhalers monthly and I’m pregnant again so seeing my OB regularly, so I’ll know pretty quick if it gets terminated. But it hasn’t yet. This will be year 4 they haven’t required any info from me to keep it active.

Should I cancel my private insurance for this year? It’s so expensive and I can’t imagine my state coverage would terminate in the year. It was supposed to be Feb 1st. Thank in advance for your advice.
