Surgery quote – different between plans on the same provider

I’ll preface this by saying I’m new to America and am very confused by health insurance so apologies if this is super basic.

I need to have surgery and the surgical centre quoted me as follows on my former employer’s insurance:

—— Your patient responsibility is based on your 2024 deductible of $2500 and a coinsurance of 20%:

Clinic amount due $2741.09 Surgery Center amount due $1494.71 ——

I switched jobs before paying and got new insurance from the same provider (United Healthcare) and they have now quoted as follows:

—— Your patient responsibility is based on your 2024 deductible of $1000 and a coinsurance of 20%:

Clinic amount due $1070 Surgery Center amount due $3069.20 ——

Is that normal and expected that the amounts have fluctuated like this? Just that different plans even from the same provider have different coverage and that’s the way it is?

Should I ask about any hidden or surprise costs like the anaesthesiologist?

Thanks in advance for the help, much appreciated.
