Stuck in insurance purgatory, SOS

I have been dealing with the most frustrating claims situation for MONTHS and would really appreciate a fresh set of eyes on the situation.

I have two dental claims that were both well within my coverage limits with my previous dental insurance (Bright Benefits), a wisdom tooth extraction on 4/29/22 and cleaning on 6/29/22.

The third party claims administrator, Careington Benefit Solutions, denied the claims over and over for various baffling reasons (claiming I wasn’t a current member— I was… etc) for about 9 months.

On 08/01/2022, Bright Benefits changed claims administrators from Careington to PrimeCare Administrators.

At this point, Careington has agreed that the claims are correct but refuses to pay out because they are no longer the current claims administrator. Primecare refuses to pay because though they are the current administrator, they were NOT on the dates of service.

So basically both parties are refusing responsibility for $1400, telling me that responsibility is either by date of service or date that the (finally “correct”) claim was filed (pick your team). Is there anything I can do here? Feeling completely powerless and overwhelmed. Is it worth it to pay for a lawyer for this madness?
