Stress test denied second time.
I posted a week or so ago about insurance denying a stress test ordered by the ER. It was outpatient and insurance said it had to be ordered by his doctor. So the doctor ordered a chemical stress test because he has bad knees (arthritis) and can't do the treadmill (last time they had an issue with the treadmill). His doctor specifically said his knees would prevent him from doing a treadmill test. Insurance denied it again. This time they said there was no record of his bad knees. So the Xrays, MRI, cortisone shots, braces, orthopedic visit, and so forth in his medical record aren't proof? We have to waste more time from his doctor to send the same documentation over again for an appeal I guess. We're two weeks from the chestpain episode and looking at more time to appeal, etc. God forbid this happens again, next time we will have it done in the hospital not outpatient.
