Still being charged after copayment?

Hi there!

Wondering if anyone can assist me… I have been going to physical therapy for almost 6 months. My plan with Cigna is supposed to be 80$ co payment- 0% deductible.

I was told this means that I have to pay my co payment of 80$ and that should be it.

About 2.5 months into therapy I recieved a letter from Cigna saying they denied all of the claims that the provider submitted.. I reached out to the provider and before I could even finish my sentence she said nope you only owe your co payment. Ignore any bills you get from us.

Fast forward to 6 months into my therapy I am receiving bills now for Oct 2023 services from the pt office and all of a sudden this lady has no clue about billing and days I need to contact there corporate billing.

So now what. I’m left with over 2000$ of bills. Had I known this would be an issue I would have went elsewhere where for PT.

To add: the provider is in network. I have Cigna. I’m lost.
