Should I wait until after I have insurance to get a diagnosis?

Background: I've been getting sick more and more often for 2 years, now to the point I get sick every 3 weeks on average. I've visited 2 doctors who brushed it off as a coincidence without pursuing any other answers whatsoever. I'm young, eat healthy and stayed physically active until this problem made me unable to be active consistently. It's pretty obvious something is wrong with my immune system. I want to visit a doctor again to get real answers.

The problem is, I've recently left my parent's insurance plan, and I'm afraid that getting a diagnosis of a serious condition will hurt my chances of getting insurance I can afford. I've never had my own, so I don't know how rates are decided.

So the question is: should I wait this out until I can get insurance through work, or is it okay to seek treatment (paying out of pocket) for now? Will it affect my rates one way or the other?
