Should I Really Be Paying This Much?

I'm a 25 male in good health with no tobacco usage. My father has elected to take me off of his insurance in order to save money. I'm not too upset about it, it's awful BCBS insurance with insanely high co pays ($40 for PCP, $100 for Urgent Care, and $500 for ER)

I figured since my coverage ends at the end of the month I should look at the healthcare.gov marketplace. Went ahead and filled it out, 25, male, no tobacco, $14k income per year in Texas. I finally got to browse coverage and I was shocked to see the cheapest plan I could get is $275 a month!

I always see ads and such about coverage through healthcare.gov for "As low as $25 a month". Uhhh, so why am I not seeing that? I'm well below the poverty line.

What are my other options? I want to keep copays low because I do have a few PCP/Urgent Care/Specialists visits per year. But $275 a month is robbery (I set it to estimate coverage costs for the middle option, "moderate" usage or something)

Since I'm so low income and in college I figured I'd have subsidized options around $50 or so. (My college offers a plan but it's awful, and in TX adults aren't eligible for medicaid regardless of income)
