Shopping for Insurance After Temporary Employer has Failed to Send Insurance Info

Context – I (28 F) was fired from my job in March of this year, and lost insurance April 1st. I was able to find work within a week of being fired, but I am temp to hire as a contractor. My employer (contractor company) offers insurance, but they did not provide it during my onboarding and after multiple attempts of emails and calls, I have not received any insurance package to look at or sign up for. It’s been 3 months and my contract lasts 3 more months, in which the company I work at will hire me as an employee with their insurance and benefits. I am exhausted of trying to get ahold of someone at this contracting firm and I am tired of paying a lot for my medication (I am on birth control and an SSRI and use coupons online which has been nice). Am I eligible to sign up for individual insurance and if so, is it possible for less than 1 year (in this case about 3 months of coverage needed)? I have no health issues, only on 2 prescriptions which are Wellbutrin and a BC pill, I rarely see the doctor except when sick occasionally, but it’s nerve wracking being uninsured.

Edit: I live in Texas for further context.
