Septoplasty: how to get it covered by UHCSR (united health care student resources) CALI. USA
Ive had breathing problems since I was a kid and gradually it grew worse. I had an active lifestyle and have many sport balls to the face(lol) My breathing in one nostril worsened in High School when I got in a dog accident, and it tore my Tear duct in my left eye, which called for emergency surgery, and the surgeons had to enter the duct through my left nostril to repair it causing so much scar tissue to the point where i can t breathe properlly anymore. At the time i never noticed how devaited my septum was, but after the surgey i began to feel the inside of my nose and it it soso to the left, I wish i was told that maybe by the surgeons who went up my nose but, any who..
With this backstory, what Can i do to get my insurance to possibly cover a septoplasty? I hear to visit a bunch of ent's and get them to try and refer you somewhere but how and what does that mean. I am super new to this whole healthcare system thing, because I got my eye surgery for free somehow at the time when i had no insurance but I am now a student and have some insurance and would just love to breathe, and sleep soon.
my issue are : migraines, post nasal drip, lack of sleep, snoring, difficulty breathing, some dizziness, mucus bubbles out of one nostril, excess drip-page out of one nostril.
let me know thanks in advance and sorry if i dont know much! im just wanting to learn 🙂
