Self-employed Blue Shield CA Individual/Family plan OFF exchange, but doctors keep telling me my plan has a group code that’s ON exchange and Blue Shield has no answer. Help

Hey guys, hoping someone on here can answer this for me please.

We are self employed and bought our health insurance for my family of 3 directly through Blue Shield of CA. It’s the 2024 Silver 1750 PPO off exchange. Our group number is x0001000. According to many different doctors offices, this code is a code for on exchange, and they don’t accept our insurance. They DO accept Blue Shield PPO, but off exchange only. Which we try and explain that we are not on the exchange, but they say we are. Blue Shield has confirmed we are not on the exchange. So what in the heck is going on please? My husband needs to get a spinal fusion, and 4 out of the 5 surgeons we’ve interviewed have said they won’t take our insurance because we’re on the exchange. Thank you in advance for clearing up what Blue Shield can’t even explain. PS our premium is roughly $2,000/month and our deductible is $1750 individual and $8500 family.
