Seeking best health insurance options – someone with an array of mental disabilities

This is the first year my husband and I need to worry about getting our own health insurance for me. We definitely need it as I have been way too long without medication and have run into issues. Everything we are looking into though either asks for a tiny amount ($40 for the both of us), and barely covers anything, or they are asking for $600 a month for the both of us and we can’t afford that.

The other issue we run into is my ability to work. I freelance, but it isn’t much. I have problems working in many different environments due to chronic panic attacks, adhd, anxiety and autism. We aren’t sure where to go from here, or if we are just looking in the wrong places. Any advice would do us well. We’d like to stay under $100 while paying around $40 for primary care doctor visits (as they require those with anxiety to visit once a month for medicine refill). We understand that this may not be possible, so any suggestions is appreciated. Slap some reality at us.

He makes: $40,000 a year and we live in Cali.
