Hi all, I’m super frustrated with my current situation so I apologize in advance if this is confusing or I forgot something!

I quit my job in May of 2023, and my insurance through that job expired in June 2023. I quit because we moved for my husband’s new job, and he put me on his plan when he started there in August 2023. I currently work for a small business with no health insurance offered through the employer.

Now the frustrating part: BCBS is claiming I have two insurance providers. I couldn’t get vaccinated because of this issue. My husband went online and thought he fixed it, but he checks it again this week, and they have me listed as having two providers again.

He called and apparently they want me to call them and tell them when my previous insurance ended.

My mom claims it happens to her and they have to do this whole confirmation thing every year, which really stresses me out about making needed medical appointments.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did they ask for anything in addition? I have anxiety and phone calls like this are hard for me, so I’m trying to get everything I could need together now so I’m not scrambling on the phone. When I try to google this problem it doesn’t give me anything close to my situation.
