Secondary Insurance not retracting payments

Hi everyone!

I would appreciate if you guys could help me with this weird situation i am in.

I have a primary insurance- BCBS through my employer but i for a few of my services this year- i was unknowingly using my secondary- UHC.

I realised this in May- and updated the info with my provider.

Post May all my claims are filed with BCBS correctly and the EOB from UHC also indicates this correctly.

For the claims that were incorrectly filed- i am not sure on how to get them fixed. I called my provider- they said ask UHC to retract the payments. I called UHC – they said just ask the provider to file the claim to BCBS. I told this to my provider- they said no that cannot happen. We cannot file the claim since we’ve been paid for it already.

I am scared that UHC will retract these payments way in future and BCBS will then reject because it wasnt timely filing of the claim. And i will be held liable for these bills.

How do i get out of this situation?
