Last month I needed a back procedure that I was having a hard time getting approved by BCBS. They recommended I add on Aetna multi plan so I could get it approved and said I had 30 days to cancel if It didn’t work out. I added and realized same day I could not use it for the procedure after being guaranteed I could.

That day I called back to cancel where I was given a confirmation code which, in reality, was a new group code for a 3rd policy he was signing me up for. He told me to wait 30 days for my refund because that would be the period in which I could not cancel and he would get his commission.

After calling at the end of the month, I was able to catch on that I was registered for another policy and not cancelled so I was able to cancel the 3rd policy and requested a cancellation again and let them know that I was being scammed into another policy. They said ok we will cancel and refund the $500.

Fast forward today, a week after the call when I was supposed to receive my refund. I call and they have rejected my request to cancel and have locked me into a 90 day plan with no way out.

Do I have any course of action to get my money back?
