Question, I got booted from my wife’s work insurance in may, enrolled to ACA late and now I need dental, is that possible?

Full story.

I was on my wife’s insurance through her job at O Reillys. This covered medical and dental. We found out in March that despite never receiving a letter her job required proof we were married or I would be booted from the insurance, once we found out despite having the marriage certificate we were told it was too late and we would have to wait for next years enrollment.

I was lucky to be able to show this to healthcare.gov and qualify for late enrollment. They approved it and I got a great plan for a hefty monthly fee, but I was just happy to have insurance. My account on her insurance showed I was still active for dental and pharmacy, so I opted out of the dental plan on healthcare.gov because I’ve heart horror stories about overlapping insurance especially involving government care.

My plan has been great but this month I cracked my tooth and check my plan from her workplace and they had finally dropped me from the dental as well. Now I’m stuck up creek without a paddle and I’m freaking out. Is it possible for me to go through healthcare.gov for a separate dental plan citing the same reason I was able to get my late registration before (being dropped from a dental plan mid year) or would it fuck with the medical plan I’ve got right now, which I want to keep.

I’ve explored the healthcare.gov site a bit and I can’t make head or tales of it. It says I can have a separate plan but I don’t know what route to take. I’m scared if I apply again it will drop my other plan. Anyone have any insight?
