Putnam County NY Fidelis vs MVP? Exchange

Hi, new here, found this subreddit via Google search on Fidelis vs MVP New York.

We’re in Putnam County NY and would have liked to get CDPHP but it’s not available for individuals in our ZIP code. Anyone in this group familiar with the MKMG >> CareMount >> Optum evolution, and how bloated and ridiculous CareMount had gotten? We’ve been patients with them since the early to mid 1960s. But in some ways they’re almost the only game in town.

At first when we signed up on the exchange with MVP (Mohawk Valley Plan) last year and knew we had to get ALL new doctors (we’re a couple in our late 50s, docs include oncologist and other specialists) we weren’t too concerned, but it’s turned out to be problematic … lots of driving, inaccurate network lists, etc. The only individual plan in our area that “Optum” (former CareMount, former Mount Kisco Medical Group) takes is Fidelis, which last we checked didn’t have as good ratings as MVP. But MVP hardly has any doctors — even finding urgent care was challenging. Is it worth finding a Fidelis plan or should we soldier on with MVP and hope things even out in time?

Oh, the bot says to include income as well … my husband is an independent professional, and i work for him, and our income fluctuates, ballpark net say anywhere from 95K to 230K for a year.
