Provider office being asked for refund

I have been on the phone back and forth I don’t know how many times about this now. I had surgery last year, and all my claims were processed with my insurance and everything was good. Then like 4/5 months ago I got a call from the anesthesiology office’s billing dept, letting me know that they had received a request from my insurance for a refund of the full amount my insurance originally paid that provider for their portion of my surgery cost. I called my insurance and thought we got everything straightened out, the girl I spoke to looked into it and said it looked like someone made a mistake and that the refund request was sent in error. I let the office know, and thought everything was good, then about 2 months ago I got another call from the providers office saying they received another refund request, for the same exact thing. I called insurance again, they said they don’t see where another request was sent, just the first one but that everything looked right on their end, and said they would send it for review and then a correction letter would be mailed to the providers office (the billing lady said both times she also called my insurance company and that she was being told something different). But again I let the office know and thought everything was done. On my online portal it shows that claim was processed , and settled on 5/17/23, and doesn’t show anything about being reprocessed or a refund being requested or me owing more. But today I get ANOTHER call from the office saying they have received ANOTHER refund request from insurance. I don’t know what to do! How do I get this settled once and for all?
