Provider did NOT send the bill to my insurance
Hello! I will appreciate some advice:
I am living in the US with a non-immigrant visa for which I have a very good health insurance.
On October 2022 I had a ultrasound in a hospital in Indiana. I had been a patient in this hospital since 2021. I provided my insurance information at the moment of the check in, even if they already had it in their system.
On February 2023 I received an invoice indicating that I own the total amount. I know my insurance should have covered this ultrasound. I called them, they had the "wrong" insurance information (from 2020), even though I updated it many times in person. I provided the correct information again, they told me they would bill the insurance company.
Today, I received the invoice again but they did not bill to the insurance company. I checked my insurance account and I did not see any claim from the provider.
What should I do? Should I contact the provider again? Should I contact the insurance company?
