Prior Authorization Denial headache

I need advice on how to proceed with this situation. I’ve been going to a neurologist for chronic migraines. In July, after trying a few different daily medications, the new treatment plan was to do Botox injections. My insurance requires a pre authorization for that.

The office didn’t send anything to my insurance until I followed up with them a month later. Claim was denied on 8/8. An appeal and peer to peer is needed. I spoke with the “care” coordinator who handles all this on 8/11, and she said they were going to schedule a peer to peer with my insurance.

Well I called my doctors office back on 9/5 for a status update. Reception forwarded my call to the care coordinator. Left a vm. No call back. Called numerous times on 9/7. During my last call, reception told me that they were still trying to schedule the peer to peer. They couldn’t provide a timeline on when that would happen. Honestly, started getting really nasty and told me to stop calling. The care coordinator will call me..

Also emailed my doctor when it was apparent that this lady was dodging me. No response there either.

Idk how to proceed.. do I show up in their office like a psycho? Change doctors? I get that my insurance is making things difficult, but why is this being dragged on.
