My wife and I both are in our open enrollment. Her Insurance which we are currently covered under is far better than what mine is except in one area, Prescription drugs. Her company she works for during the last year took Wegovy/ Ozempic and other weight loss drugs off of their approved drug list which my wife was on but now we can't afford that, but mine covers them.

But if I'm reading somethings correctly if I have a surgery, where it would be fully covered with only a $250 copay under her insurance, but since my insurance through my employer would end up being primary, mine I would have to pay up to my $1800 deductible before coinsurance takes over? Or would her insurance kick in as secondary and cover as it would if we were just under hers?

Vice Versa, she get's her Ozempic prescription refilled, would my insurance cover her prescription as her secondary insurance or would her primary insurance over rule that because it's not an approved drug?
