Primary/Secondary Insurance messed up.

So….. My son, who is 23, started his new job exactly one year ago.

They require him to sign up for their insurance. I kept him on mine as a secondary as my insurance is WAY better and doesn’t cost me extra to do it.

I told him to use his new insurance when he goes to appointments and fills prescriptions. At the pharmacy they told him his insurance was changed.

He’s been to three DR appointments in the last year and he never updated the insurance there.

I probably wasn’t clear enough with him with the doctors appointments. But he was very explicit with the pharmacy. I’m quite annoyed at them.

Just discovered today that all the claims have been going through my insurance (should be his secondary). 3 medical visits and 12 prescriptions filled.

How do i undo this? Is it too late to resubmit claims to HIS insurance? I don’t know what deadlines are involved. Both policies are through Anthem. The prescription policies are different companies.

Which do we call first? How do i submit a generic old CVS claim? Don’t have receipts or anything.

Should we just update stuff now and hope they don’t notice? Maybe that’s the best bet if if we are passed deadlines for resubmitting claims?
