Pregnant, got on husbands plan and health insurer said i won’t be on until July. Haven’t been seen since 20 weeks pregnant

Hello everyone

Currently 29 weeks pregnant, due Mid August, we’re in California.

and we enlisted me for my husband’s insurance plan at the end of May after getting married. I was previously on Kaiser HMO plan

He is on the Anthem Blue Cross PPO

We were told it was going to process and I’d be on by June.

Now they’re telling us that I won’t be on until July but I have not been seen by an OB since 20-22 weeks pregnant since we were waiting for the marriage paperwork to come through to enroll. I’ll be about 31-32 weeks with no prenatal care for 10 weeks if that’s the case

Clerical staff at his job, who initially told us we’d be set for June, now says there’s nothing we can do and i won’t be on until July.

Is there any insurance I can get to be seen sooner? My husband makes over 110k pre tax. I’m currently unemployed.

I just want to make sure baby is okay. Is there anything I can do? Will we just have to front the bill for now ?
