Pennie in PA, open enrollment and adult children.

Going to look at my families medical plan options. Will probably change out of our current plan for hopefully a cheaper plan. Family of 4 here with a self employed husband, 22yr old and 18yr old adult children and I work 2 small part time jobs. I'm confused about recording household income on the application. Do I only put me and my husbands or must I also include my adult childrens income? They live at home, but will be filing taxes separately as they are adults and can no longer be claimed as dependents on me and hubs tax return. Would it be cheaper for them to get individual plans or keep us all on a family plan? If I include the kids incomes, the premium will sky rocket. Insurance is so expensive. None of us have pre existing medical conditions or take any medication. Aside from birth control of 22 yr old. If something like appendicitis or worse would happen we don't want to be paying medical bills for years either.

Those of you who own a home, do you include property taxes as an expense on the app? Taxes are outrageous as well. Don't know how they expect people to pay a mortgage, taxes, health ins. on top of everything else. We don't even have credit cards and only 1 car pmt. (Comisurate vent there.)

Any insight appreciated.
