No suprises act bill, should I submit a complaint?

Hi! I would like a second opinion from someone who knows more about insurance (I am still confused on most of it), I recently had an emergency hospital visit and received a bill from an out-of-network provider/company? within the in-network hospital for the amount that my insurance did not pay. I reached out to my insurance and they were able to contact the provider and have the bill canceled luckily. I kind of dislike though that if I hadn’t realized this bill was illegal, I might have paid the bill to avoid having any medical debt, even though it’s a very large amount relative to what I make. I was thinking of submitting a complaint to cms.gov just so it is on the record they sent it and maybe other people will not be in this situation in the future. Would that be excessive, like is this something every provider does at some point? Does it not matter since they canceled the bill quickly? Idk, I don’t want to be over the top but I’d like a second opinion. Thank you!
