No job, No Income, No Insurance in Florida – What To Do?

I'm 24, I live in FL but spend a lot of time in AL with my partner. I can't live with them at this time because they wouldn't qualify for food stamps. They have a job and an income, but it's not much. The job market is abysmal where we're at right now.

I am disabled, but I lost Medicaid last year (I'm 99% sure it's been over 6 months) and I haven't been through the legal disability process yet. I've had a lot of health issues flaring and I really need to see a primary and get referred to some specialists, but I'm not seeing any options. I keep seeing people are somehow getting no- or low-cost coverage through BCBS and United, but I don't know how. I'm also autistic and struggle a lot with phone calls, so I'm wondering if there's an online process or if it's all over the phone.

And on one other note, having coverage in FL and being back and forth between the states means driving a ton for appointments (and I can't drive), so if at all possible, it would be nice to be able to get coverage wherever I'm at – or at least have a plan that's pretty widely accepted so I have a higher chance of finding doctors closer to me.

What can be done? Are there any options at all? Thanks in advance 🙂
