no dental insurance and in need of dental work.

Ill try and get to the point as quickly as possible, but i gotta explain some of this briefly to better help you understand my situation. My parents, specifically my mother always handled my healthcare stuff (among many other things). My mom had an attachment issue as a result of trauma from a soured relationship with a sibling, and was afraid if she didn’t do literally everything for me, that id do the same thing. Because my mom wanted to do everything for me, I was never taught anything about how insurance works and what to look for. I know exactly zero information about insurance of any kind other than its extremely confusing for people who have some sort of grasp on how all this works, which tells me im going into this at a major disadvantage. Recently, my mother passed away. when she passed, the coverage i was under obviously dropped and I’ve essentially been dropped in the middle a lake with no knowledge of how to swim in relation to things like Taxes, Money management, and most importantly right now, insurance. I want to stress that i dont resent my mother, she was an amazing person, she just cared a little too much, and ended up doing more bad than good in the long run.

I’ve known for some time that I’m in need of dental work, but recently developed a tooth ache that is starting to concern me. I want to find dental insurance, but have no idea what i need to look for. When i try to look up info online, im greeted by ads full of information i don’t understand, with no customer reviews that give me any insight to tell me if the company is worth my money.
