NJ – When do I start calling insurance daily about my prior authorization?

I have done everything I can and I'm waiting desperately to find out if my top surgery will be covered. My surgeon is in-network and I have an employer-sponsored plan. I called my insurance already and they cover nearly all the codes and my office is good about getting things covered. I have a letter from a mental health professional.

I was told it would take up to 2 weeks to get a decision, and that was 2 weeks ago. When I asked the office, they said it's still pending and it should be done in another week. If it's still pending on the new date, that brings us to just 8 business days before my surgery.

Safe to say I'm freaked. I'm not even telling anyone I have surgery until this step is done because I can't do it without this insurance. My life is falling apart all around me in part because of this surgery and I just need to have this done on the scheduled date.
