New to this and want to find something that’ll cover my mental health

I didn't know this place existed, and I'm relieved that it does.

I've gotten really frustrated with my current insurance plan, and it's my first time ever looking for a different insurance company and/or different plan.

I'm not super ashamed to say I've been mentally ill for the last decade or so, and have just started getting the help I really need. My current insurance (UHC, HMO plan) sucks for basic needs like dental and primary care, so getting care for mental health has been a nightmare, especially with trauma therapy..

My therapist is out of network and suggested I get a plan that has out of network benefits. Ideally I'd like to have the dental too, but my job does also offer insurance…I have to check if they do dental (open enrollment is coming up). But therapy is my main priority, alongside prescription drugs.

Are there any recommendations for people to talk to, or maybe even spreadsheets to look at? Pros and cons of various companies/plans, etc…I'm sorry if this post is really sporadic. Thanks to anyone who can provide some advice.

Edit: forgot to include, 26 years old. Living in the state of California. Income is maybe around 40k?
